Eagle
CAD Parts Search Engine
Type in an electronic part name or part number and this search engine will do its best to find a matching Eagle part or package amongst all the standard and public domain Eagle library (LBR) files in its index.
The result is a listing of library filenames, devices, packages, and descriptions which match the search string.
This will help you quickly locate the library name that may contain the component you're looking for in large lists that are included with Eagle.
The libraries included in the search are those included standard with Eagle and the publicly contributed libraries available on the Eagle website.
Why Is Eagle Part Search Needed?
The Eagle PCB CAD program is very powerful and useful but one of its achilles heels (besides usability oddiities) is a very weak search capability.
With Eagle, you pretty much have to know the exact part and even what library it's in in order to find it and even then it can be difficult.
This search engine attempts to solve this problem. Using powerful regular expressions, you can narrow your search and find components in Eagle libraries that are nearly impossible to find with Eagle itself.
Many Eagle parts designers do not include enough information in their component descriptions to find it with Eagle search.

Searches are not case sensitive.
Regular expressions are not the same thing as wildcards. The most common regular expression that acts like a wild card is '.*?' as shown in the examples above.

the library name are based on searches of LBR
files that can be found in the
