How many times have you needed to send signals between a 5V part and a 3.3V part?
The Maxim MAX3000 is a sweet bi-directional level converter that does just that. But the MAX part is tiny so this board gives you a nice breakout for prototyping and easy interfacing to your devices.
Product Description
The board can accommodate up to 2 MAX3000 TSSOP devices for a total of 16 bi-directional level converting channels. Optionally, populate the board with a single MAX3000 and get 8 bi-directional channels for a slightly lower cost if you don't need 16 channels.
One nice thing about the MAX3000 is you don't need to set a direction for all the channels like some other level converters. (You can, but this board is wired for simultaneously bi-directional signals.)
The MAX3000 breakout is breadboard compatible when using a single MAX chip.
Otherwise, mounting holes are one of our specialties....we believe in mounting holes. When you need to take this off the bench and put it in an enclosure, you need to tie it to something. So, all our breakout boards come standard with 4-40 mounting holes.
